About Us
Global Seismic Data (GSD) is a New Zealand based Software as a Service (SaaS) company providing Structural Health Monitoring and Earthquake Early Warning.
Founded in New Zealand in 2018, GSD develops affordable cloud-based systems that monitor seismic activity in buildings and infrastructure. The data identifies structural vulnerabilities, helping engineers strengthen assets and improve economic resilience. During major events, GSD broadcasts alerts to inform stakeholders of building status: protecting lives and enabling faster recovery.

Steve Hutchins
CO-FOUNDER & CHIEF TECHNOLOGY OFFICER
Steve leads all aspects of GSD's technology business. He is responsible for technology strategy, and leading innovation through research and development. Steve leverages emerging technologies, delivering the newest innovations to our clients globally.
Steven McLauchlan
GLOBAL OPERATIONS DIRECTOR
Steven is responsible for managing GSD's operations, partnerships and senior-level relationships with leading and emerging engineering companies and partners. He leads global operations and supply chain.
Graham Nel
DIRECTOR INSTALLATIONS & TRAINING SERVICES
Graham is responsible for managing installations and training services. He provides re-seller partnership training services for installations, maintenance, and authorised installer accreditations.
Damon Hutley
HEAD OF TECHNOLOGY
With a background in systems and software engineering, Damon brings technical expertise and practical leadership to his role at GSD. He leads the engineering team in developing and implementing new technologies while maintaining our network of seismic sensors and cloud-based services.
Junaid Ahmed
SOFTWARE DEVELOPER
Junaid brings expertise in modern software development, with strong skills across programming languages, system design, and application architecture. His experience in app development and crafting intuitive user interfaces supports our ongoing innovation and product growth.
Dr Chanthujan Chandrakumar
DATA SCIENTIST
Chanthujan is our data scientist, specialising in transforming complex datasets into actionable insights that drive innovation. He explores new ideas and concepts to enhance our business, leveraging his expertise in early warning systems, data processing, machine learning, and predictive modelling to uncover opportunities and optimise decision-making.
Bruce McLauchlan

With over 50 years experience of running FMCG businesses, Bruce's experience and operational knowledge contributes to the management oversight of GSD's global business.
